OUR MISSION

Our mission is to respectfully and professionally distribute independent music to the worldwide community of legitimate digital service providers. We sought to create a business that would develop a revenue stream for independent artists in a supportive way while offering them a level playing field in the digital world. We advise our clients in many areas with the understanding that we succeed when they do. We recognize the difficulty that our artists have making a living off their music and we provide the tools and advice to help them accomplish that while at the same time allowing them the peace of mind that they have maintained control of their intellectual property. We conduct our business honestly and with integrity by properly collecting royalties and paying artists fully and fairly for their work.
 

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Digital Delivery Services was founded in 2006 as a partnership with Urbanlife Distribution in Oakland, Ca, a Bay Area based company dedicated to Urban music and run by my son and his partner. Today, our companies represent over 700 record labels, 2500 artists and over 50,000 tracks. We have relationships with approx. 300 download stores including iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Cricket, YouTube, eMusic, Rhapsody, GhostTunes, Beats and many more. The services we work with represent 99.9% of the legitimate downloads sold in North America and something close to 99% of those sold internationally. Our goal is that anyone on this planet who might be interested in downloading our artists’ music should be able to do so through whatever legitimate service they are familiar with locally.

ED GERTLER BIO

Ed has enjoyed a long career in the music industry including 25 years at Sony Music, the last 10 of which serving as the National Sales Director for their Nashville Label. His sales & marketing experience was founded in brick & mortar but includes mass merchandisers, military, non-traditional and e-commerce. He planned and implemented advertising and marketing campaigns for artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Willie Nelson and Yo Yo Ma to name a few. The Digital Delivery Services roster includes Katie Armiger, Moccasin Creek, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Mark Chesnutt, Foster & Lloyd, Gary P Nunn, Red Steagall, Matt Kennon and Moe Bandy.
